My oldest son's name is Devon!! Devon Henry is his name. My middle one is Logan(GREAT CHOICES!!) When Devon was in kindergarten there was a little girl in his cl(they couldn't have seperated them?) named Devin...... It is technically a uni name and every girl I've ever seen (only 2 or 3) with the name spelled it with an i. When he was a baby(he's 7 now) we got alot of mispronunciations like (de-vaughn) it drove me crazy! The name has become more common, and his name hasn't been mispronounced in years. I would avoid the i, just in case a little girl winds up in his cl. The name has grown in popularity for boys, and dropped off the charts for girls. Anyway, Logan can also be a uni name( they're booys names as far as I'm concerned) so I'd avoid that as a middle name. My boys all have "uni" names, so there middle names are strong male names. ex. Henry, James and Richard. I really like the sound of Devon Issac. It's a very strong name. I wish I'd of thought of it. Oh, and Devon loves his name! Congratulations!!!!!!

Making sure baby comes with in emergency?

If I have to call an ambulance and be rushed to the hospital for a cardiac episode, what can I do to make sure that the ambulance team knows that there is a baby in the house that needs to go along (in case I am unconscious when they show up)? I have been having some heart issues and have my tests scheduled - but I am oftentimes at home alone with my 13 month old baby and am worried about the possibility of him being left behind should I be rushed to the hospital. My husband is away on business 4-6 days a week, so I can't even guarantee that he would stop at home if he were contacted by the hospital. This is stressing me out!!! Please help!

Location : Michigan - I applied jointly with another person for an apartment at an apartment complex. They denied our application saying this person hadn't ped their criminal background check but would not give us specifics and would not divulge their source. When you are denied something based on credit they have to tell you where (what credit bureau, etc.) they obtained their information and will usually even detail the specific credit issues (delinquent account, etc.). Isn't there a similar law when denying somebody based on not ping a background check? Aren't they obligated to tell this person exactly what information they are basing the denial on and where they obtained that information? Also we had no problem ping the background check at the apartments where we currently reside. You know.....I can tell you that the area over by Asheville is about the most beautiful I have ever seen, all the mountains....I could sure live there myself. I also know the towns near the beach are wonderful also, if the water is your thing. Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S....so if that tells you anything. the trick is to prevent your anxiety from getting the better of you to begin with. an anxiety attack is caused by a release of adrenaline, adrenaline has a very short life in the system, fifteen minutes tops, but, if you respond to the symptoms of that release, you allow a cascade effect to occur. If you let those symptoms bother you, then you trigger the fear response and even more adrenaline is released and so on and so on. What you need to do is first recognize the early symptoms of anxiety, then RELAX, breathe SLOWLY and deeply and keep reminding yourself that this will p if you allow it to. I've gotten so good at doing this that I rarely get anxiety attacks anymore. So I know it works. My anxiety symptoms mimicked heart attack symptoms, so it wasn't easy to relax and allow the symptoms to p, but I persevered and it does really work. Good luck to you.

My ear is draining liquid?

So, I had a cold that started sometime around July 1st. You know, the usual cough, stuffy/runny nose, plugged up ears, etc. It started getting better and then when I woke up on July 5th, I had a mive sore throat, my cough got way worse, (coughing up green crap, couldn't really take a deep breath without coughing for a couple minutes.) I got some antibiotcs from the doc and went on my way. Then the other night, my ear started hurting really, really bad to where it woke me up from sleeping. It felt like a lot of pressure, kind of like when you go down too deep in a pool. I took some advil and went back to sleep. In the morning, I heard it start crackling like it wanted to pop, but still wouldn't. Later on in the day, it felt as though water was draining from my ear, but only a tiny bit. So what i'm wondering is what the heck is going on with my ear? Will it get better with the antibiotics or is it something different?

Maybe its not so positive because we as a society do more and more negative things. Murder, drugs, suicide, , , child abuse etc. These things are all more prevalent in todays society. Its hard to have anything positive to say on any one of these subjects. Plus the biggest thing in our media today is the War in Iraq. While some people still stand behind it, most people are against it, and lets face it, the Iraq war is much harder to think positively about than WWll. I mean the same thing happens day after day in Iraq... US soldiers arrive while others leave and car bombs and suicide bombs go off all the freakin time killing various amounts of people. Hi all, i need some guidance please. I'm looking to choose a new path for myself. I was made redundant and haven't found work yet. While i had free time i done a course in sound engineering as i've been kine on music and sound in general. I've never done anything like this before. Canter troubles! Help!?

okay so I am leasing this horse, he has a tendency to rush off at a canter so I always get a bit nervous before I ask him. But I brought my friend to watch me ride today and let's say it was not pretty. She kept making kiss noises (as if to ask for a canter) when I was trotting, this freaked him out and he started cantering really fast. I managed to get him to stop and then I walked for a few minutes and asked again (on purpose this time) and he rushed off and ran strait for a jump (I can't jump they were just in the arena) and steered him away but I felt like a was going to fall so I grabbed the horn and I was saying walk but he didn't listen and he ran me into a wall. It was amazing I stayed on and it for me really shaken up. So I trotted like normal for the rest of the time. Then I tried cantering inside (he is more hyper outside and I feel more comfortable in a small arena) and he did it but he kept stopping I was really hesitant to ask again because of the fear on him rushing off again. So I decided to end the ride on a good note and just did sown trotting figure eights. How can I get over my fear in a safe way? And get him to stop rushing off? I have a lesson tuesday but I would like to work on cantering again tomorrow. Now this is really strange that I developed this fear because last week I was fearless, cantering around and everything was going great , this week has been down hill severly. Missed period but breakthrough bleeding. Could i be pregnant?

I've been on birth control for awhile but i missed a lot of pills last month and so i just stopped half way through to wait to start a new pack. Wow! This is really heavy duty stuff! My heart breaks for you. You're dealing with so many issues all at the same time. You need to sort through them one at a time, so here goes. First, you've got to know that your family is obviously "dysfunctional". Not your fault, o.k? You can't control what your mother or father does or for that matter, what your boyfriend does. The only person you can control or change is yourself. You need to have a heart-to-heart talk with your Mom regarding her actions around the boyfriend, particuliarly the outward display of affection centering on "ual". Holding his hand, arm in arm, or a quick kiss here or there is one thing, but being ual in front of you is not o.k. and she needs to know this. She also needs to know how important it is to you for the two of you to have mother and daughter alone time. Tell her these things with love. If you can't tell her face to face then write her a letter and hand it to her to read. Next, regarding your father. He's mentally ill so there's not much you can do for him except understand where he's at in his head and stop blaming yourself for his bad behavior. The name calling is horrible and is called "verbal abuse". Please don't take on his name calling as truth. You are none of those things and you know it. So don't personalize it. Let your father know that although you love him you will not accept the abuse and that if he continues you will have to limit the amount of time you spend with him, which is already not enough but perhaps that's a good thing considering how he uses that time to belittle you. Remember, you can't control him and what he says or does but you can control you and how you choose to react to him. It will protect your emotional and mental health. I don't know how old you are because you didn't mention it but if you are a young person, and I'm going to ume that you are, I want to caution you about getting involved too soon in romantic relationships. You may be using those relationships as a temporary replacement for a family. What you need right now is a relationship with yourself. You say that you want to be happy and love yourself. That's exactly what you need! Right on! Whew! You see, you aren't the shitty person you think you are. You are really quite smart and together but you aren't giving yourself the credit due. You not only deserve to live, but you deserve to live with happiness. Therefore, you will need to create your own happiness starting with you. Now, what I suggest you do is get a notebook or journal. Begin to write down all the things you want from life. It could be 1.) A happy family life 2) Better self esteem 3) Better relationships with friends and family etc. Second, take each want and write what you think it will take to achieve it. For instance, with 1) A happy family life, you could write "I want a mother who shows interest in me by doing things with just me. Perhaps by going to the movies or shopping with just me. Then write down how you might accomplish that. Example: Write down a day on the calendar and then ask Mom to spend a few hours that day with only you. Find out what's playing at the movies and suggest to Mom that the two of you go. Or maybe go to lunch, or whatever. You need to make a plan on each point and then move the plan forward. At this time in your life you also need to surround yourself with a good support system. If you have good friends, spend quality time with them and their familys. This will help you to see what normal looks like. I also would like to suggest that you curb the boyfriend relationship because it seems very abusive as well. Remember, you need to surround yourself with good support, not abusive support. It's only bringing you down and the thing you need right now is to build up your self esteem. Have boys that are friends, not "boyfriends". That will come later when you are in a better place emotionally and mentally. All in due time. Now is the time to love yourself and be good to yourself. You need to eliminate the toxicity in your life in order to be healthy. Gravitate towards healthier friends and relationships. I think in time you will see a happier you. It disturbs me that the very first amendment of the Constitution has been torn apart in our modern day society. For instance on the issue of gay marriage, I don't care if gay people want to get married, they have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us. However for some reason citing the Bible, a text of a religious institution is probable cause to take away the rights from another group of people. Hello! As soon as the bible was the only argument people had for against the institution of gay marriage, that argument should have been thrown right out the window. I've seen religious people trying to get evolution taken out of school as well. They even want to censor other groups. I thought we escaped that religious persecution from Britain, but it's starting all over again, but this time it's working from a societal level into the government rather then the vice versa way with British rule. Why are we letting these boundaries become a blurry figment of our imagination? We need to strengthen the regulations on the separation of church and state. I for one don't want a "good" Christian senator deciding that my children can't learn evolution, dinosaurs, or other religions because he doesn't think it agrees with his god.

What has likely happened here (injury)?

I was in the gym, got onto a rowing machine, strapped my feet in, and then noticed that someone had left the handlebar up. When I was trying to reach for the handlebar, then person rowing next to me gave me a sudden push forward from my left, and I felt about two crackles to the left of my hip area. It basically felt like joints crackling, so it didn't hurt. If it was tendons, muscles or nerves snapping, I would have felt an instant pain right? So in the left hip area, (perhaps further to the left than the sacroiliac joint) what could that crackle have been?

HELP!! Is my Silver Shark ill?

Hi over the past week my Silver Shark has developed a kind of discolouration to the end of his nose. I had him checked out by my aquatic shop where i got him from and we're all baffled....IT'S NOT : White Spot, He has NO fungus forming, there is NO sort of 'cotton wool' on him and he generally seems fine, He's still eating and swimming fine, but now what was just a slight discoluration on his nose has spread right up his face to around his eyes. He looks like he has got a 'greyish white' nose and a silver body. All my other fish are fine and i have one other Silver Shark and he's ok too, What shall i do? my daughter has a 1999 mercury villager.recently it has ran rough at times but not all the time.It was running rough ,her friends dad looked at it an it had a spark plug loose and it was low on antifreeze. he tightened the plug an filled the radiator an it ran fine the rest of the day.the next day it was running rough again so she checked the antifreeze an it was once again low so she filled it an it ran fine the rest of the day.i went across town an looked at it an found no leaks ,i replaced the once loose plug in case it went bad an told her maybe it was low on antifreeze again because her friends dad did not let the antifreeze cycle through. last night it was running rough again.i went this morning an looked at it to make sure the plugs were tight etc an i on top of the motor theres 2 plugs,i pulled the wire off an saw a very little bit on antifreeze around the spark plug on the block.so where would this antifreeze have come from? they didnt not take off the radiator cap when it was hot an the plug is nowhere near the radiator.so im figuring maybe a cracked block? no idea.no water in oil or oil in water thats visible to the naked eye anyway and as far as we have seen the motor doesnt overheat...thanks for any help.

Question about images formed by double thin lenses?

I have a hard time figuring out how to work with a combination of 2 camera lenses. L1 focal length f1=15cm and L2 has f2=13cm which project image onto a film 12cm from the first lens. Distance of L2 which is closer to the film can vary between 5cm and 10cm from the film. I am trying to find the range of distances in front of L1 for which objects can be focussed on the film. What method to follow please ? I just know the lens equations.

Im a twenty year old college student in a relatively small college town. I'm also a brother in a fraternity and last semester, the lease on our house we rented expired. I was looking at property values in the town and I noticed it was relatively affordable. One house in particular which seemed decent was on the market for about 125k. I figured if I put down the 10k that I saved as a down payment and took on a 15-20 year mortgage, it could be a smart investment. Id have steady tenants since the frat has been around campus for 15 years and since we each living in the house (5 of us) were paying about 2k a semester,(4k a year) it could be a smart deal. In theory it all seems nice, but am I overlooking anything? Property tax is in the 3k a year range, I would need a special type of homeowners insurance for renting, and I'm not exactly sure what utilities I would need to cover. But is this even realistic?Anything else I'm missing?

I received a citation for cl B misdemeanor while babysitting my nephew because I was not aware of laws about leaving a child unattended for more than 10 min. The child was safe, I would not have done it if I had known it was against the law. Do I have any protection? She's about a month and 2 weeks old. When i first got her from the LA rescue i took her home and she kept sneezing a lot! Than green stuff kept coming out of her nose so we took her too the vet to see what was wrong, the vet gave her a shot. The sneezing and nose fluid is gone now but she wont eat or play like she used to and i think she has thrown up a bit sense there would always be some kind of yellow slime coming out of her mouth. The vet gave me medicine to give her twice daily but it said FOR DOGS ONLY, i didn't mind the big bold sign sense the vet gave it to us for our cat. Please i don't know what else to do, i really don't want her to die!

This isnt really complicated at all. In Chicago you have it all, your career/job, his job, your family, house, already established in the community. On the other hand if you all moved to Seattle, all you really have is your job which may be better than what you have but money isnt everything and cant buy everything either. As long as you still have your job there, stay put instead of upstaging status quo. Your boys have their lives there too so its better to stay put all the way around instead of taking a chance on a new place especially not knowing what the future holds for any of us. Youre one of the lucky few that has been given a second chance at the same love although it took an unfortunate event to make you realize it but dont lose it again or see if itll work long distance. Your family is really yours and anybodys fo that matter most important et. A job can come and go in a heartbeat nowadays. You really do have to much to lose moving so my vote is for staying put and just being happy with what you have, your gr is greener on this side.
