DRUMMERS! How do I get my snare to sound like this drummer's?

I want to get my snare to sound to have more of a "pop" sound I guess you could say. Just like Her Demise My Rise drummer's(Song: One Want One Need | Album: Let's get ****** up) or Hoods (Anything on the older albums) Is it a piccolo snare? Or do I have to just tighten the heck out of my head? Then what about the springs?! It's all so confusing ahahaha. Please help :D
