My ear is draining liquid?

So, I had a cold that started sometime around July 1st. You know, the usual cough, stuffy/runny nose, plugged up ears, etc. It started getting better and then when I woke up on July 5th, I had a mive sore throat, my cough got way worse, (coughing up green crap, couldn't really take a deep breath without coughing for a couple minutes.) I got some antibiotcs from the doc and went on my way. Then the other night, my ear started hurting really, really bad to where it woke me up from sleeping. It felt like a lot of pressure, kind of like when you go down too deep in a pool. I took some advil and went back to sleep. In the morning, I heard it start crackling like it wanted to pop, but still wouldn't. Later on in the day, it felt as though water was draining from my ear, but only a tiny bit. So what i'm wondering is what the heck is going on with my ear? Will it get better with the antibiotics or is it something different?
