What should I do if my dr is on vacation and is it serious enough to go to the er?

I've been having to change my pad every 2 hours all day and have been also experiencing cramping in my lower back and abdomen. I gave birth 7 weeks ago and had my gall bladder and an ovary removed 4 weeks ago. My dr is on vacation and it's after hours for any office calls.
