Advice and information on my career path?

Hi all, i need some guidance please. I'm looking to choose a new path for myself. I was made redundant and haven't found work yet. While i had free time i done a course in sound engineering as i've been kine on music and sound in general. I've never done anything like this before. Anyways my course is finished now and i'll be waiting for a few months before i get the results. I'd like to continue on in the sound area and was thinking of trying either doing foley artist or sound editor. Just adding sound to films and getting to work with microphones and sound equipment and mixing consoles. Is there any schools around that i could apply for an internship or become a trainee. I don't really have money anymore as it's been used on paying rent/bills etc. I've never done anything like this before so i'm learning from scratch and trying to teach myself also. Where do i start to look, in the phone book, internet? Who should i speak to. I live in ireland. Thanks
